2017 Autumn/Winter

2017 Fall/Winter Collection poses "!" and "?" to contemporary aesthetics. The meanings conveyed by "!" and "?" are rhetoric expressions. As they differ from narrative illustrations in language, they present hieroglyphic effect of imagery, implying the visually expressive language of clothes -- utilizing color blocks, materials and curves to convey "fashion". In 2017 Fall/Winter Collection, "!" emphasizes the pursuit of a free, "fashionable" life attitude from people born in the 90s through a contemporary perspective; "?" then reconstructs the material and technical aspects of this spirit of "beauty", and absorb the elements in contemporary life, using a "retrospective" to create another "surprising" possibility for fashion in life. This attempt not only abandons the conventional approaches, but also revives people's memory and imaginary space of the "free beauty" in the 90s, situating "fashion" in the free state of "happening" instead of the static concept of "fashion paralleling with pop culture".

Based on the everyday elements of 90s, we attempt to reorganize the hard and soft structures to open new creative paths. Setting the popular concept of the word "fashion" aside, we can discover fashion’s own values of people's consumption on their bodies and the sense of art in life. We find simple aesthetics and structures from everyday materials in the 90s, and even blend hair, metal, literature and other languages of the new age into clothes, transforming them from the level of "essence". The behaviors of cutting, connecting, crocheting and covering not only focus on visual patterns, but also accumulate for people's bodily need for a "sense of culture". Because of the contemporary visual patterns, these behaviors cannot satisfy people's spiritual hollowness. In turn, people need the "tactile stimulus" from another material to substitute. Therefore, we use the thoughts of "retrospective" and "intervention" to open people's bodily perception on "fashion".
